The Capacity Infrastructure Manager is responsible for delivering high quality storage infrastructure Capacity on time, within budget and in accordance with Stellantis technology guidelines. In this position, the candidate will implement compute and storage capacity working with services providers. The candidate will take a lead role in creating a road map for all technology refresh initiatives related to storage and compute platforms as well as all back-up and restore solutions. The candidate will coordinate these efforts with the design team, Infrastructure planning team, and operations team. In this role, communications and collaboration will be key for a successful implementation of any new infrastructure. The candidate will also take the lead for all technical, financial and business process activities. The successful candidate must have the ability to adapt quickly and be able to solve technical and personnel issues with a high level of professionalism.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- The successful candidate must be able to provide both strategic and tactical approaches to infrastructure capacity management
- Be highly focused on outcomes and business success
- Partner with vendors and manage technical resources and project budgets
- Execute projects flawlessly based on agreed upon scope and deliverable definition
- Hold resources accountable for deliverables, quality, and due dates
- Proactively and effectively manage project risk
- Adhere to the project management methodology as mandated by Stellantis, while providing guidance on industry best practices, tools and process improvements
- Be able to collaborate and resolve conflict when necessary
- Mentor and direct the actions of other team members
- Ability to forecast additional infrastructure capacity based on demand from new projects
- Perform financial management as related to infrastructure capacity augmentation
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering from an accredited college/university
- 5+ years of formal technical project management experience managing large-scale, cross-functional, infrastructure focused projects
- Experience in managing infrastructure capacity for Servers, Storage & Backup infrastructure
- 2+ years of formal project management experience in Project Management Methodologies and associate technologies
- Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure components and how they interrelate to form a cohesive, end to end solution
- Ability to deliver complex assignments in a fast paced, intense environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates initiative to explore new technology, processes and methods
- Core competencies in risk management, financial tracking, tracking dependencies and milestones, negotiating, business stakeholder engagement, disciplined change management processes and leadership
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner
- Strong knowledge of software development processes and life cycles
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Ability to lead by example, mentor new project managers and/or contractors on established processes
- A consultative team player that can assess conflicting viewpoints and opinions but has an ability to rationally assess alternatives and clearly articulate recommendations to management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer Science Master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university
- 10+ years of formal technical project management experience managing large-scale, cross-functional, infrastructure focused projects
- PMP certification is a plus
- Exposure to IT portfolio planning, reporting, prioritization, governance and budget
- Exposure to project management for automotive
