The role will function as a member of the Simulation and Reprocessing team. The candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of simulation software for validation of SAE Level 3 automated driving feature and functional software. The primary duties will include the development of infrastructure and simulation software, providing, among the others, features for: open loop reprocessing of the perception software of the AD system on real world data logged in experimental vehicles, closed loop simulation of the overall AD system software integrated into a complete vehicle model driving through simulated scenarios, and orchestration of simulation scenarios campaigns defined to validate the AD system functionality.
Bachelor Degree on Complex System Physics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
Experience of working as Simulation systems developer.
Experience with developing software in Linux environment.
Experiences in developing software in Python, Java, C/C++, C#.
High level of technical problem solving ability and techniques.
Ability to interface with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers.
Good communication skills.
Master Degree/PhD on Complex System Physics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
3 years of relevant working experience in the field of Modeling and Simulation of complex engineering systems.
Experience of working within an AGILE or Scrum framework.
Experience working with ADAS.
Experience with OSEK and/or AUTOSAR.
Experience with developing simulation architecture, models of electronic components behavior, realistic virtual environments using game engine technology (e.g. Unity and Unreal).
Experience with Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
Algorithms for environment detection (e.g. object tracking, free space estimation) Functional aspects for virtualization of sensors and integration of embedded control units.
Reprocessing of sensor raw data and bus data.
Driver assistance systems, sensors, car bus systems, measuring technology, trace analytics.
Competences about machine learning concepts and tools, applied to computer vision, neural networks, object recognition, decision making and/or training.
