The Purchasing organization has a Tooling Support Specialist position available, job responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Provide technical and analytical feasibility expertise to review various types of tooling consisting of all types of molds, stamping dies, die cast tools, secondary equipment / special machines / tools, end of arm tooling, cooling and nesting racks, checking fixtures and gages
  • Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and project related tasks
  • Proficient in performing cost and timing analysis
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite software
  • Travel to plants/suppliers to review tooling or equipment and requests
  • Typical travel is day travel, may be some overnight including trips to Mexico/Canada
Basic Qualifications:
  • Mechanical or Technical degree and/or 5 plus years working in the design/build of various types of molds, dies, secondary’s, racks, fixture’s, and gage’s
  • Root cause analysis with a creative problem solving abilities and results orientated
  • Self-motivated / sense of ownership
  • Ability to work overtime/weekend hours if necessary
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally as required, up to 40%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical or technical field
  • Experience in stamping dies
  • Production manufacturing experience of plastic, steel, and cast parts
  • Knowledge of NX, and Teamcenter
  • Experience in negotiating tool costs
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience presenting to senior management
  • Knowledge in dimensional validation
