Job Overview

The candidate will manage the technical development of Active Chassis systems and manage the planning achieving program milestones and budget; in particular for the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Braking Actuation Module (eBAM), the Wheel Speed Sensors (WSS) and Clutch/Brake pedals sensors/switches.

His main responsibilities will be:

· Release, maintain and update technical component specifications

· Create and maintain core documents for Active Chassis Components

· Evaluate technical proposals from components’ suppliers

· Make scouting actions on new solutions for value optimization or quality/performance improvement in order to achieve cost saving goals by technical optimization (Internal & Supplier’s

· Release of DVP&R, compliant to program contents, to supplier and/or testing department and evaluation of experimental results.

· Manage the component development plan, ensuring the respect of technical deliverables at the expected due dates. The activities include:

o Tracking of the validation activities and the related bug-fixes

o Definition of countermeasures in case of issues and delays

o Coordination of HW / SW releases of the component, ensuring the alignment with the validation activities

o Approval of tests results and related deviations.

· Support plant to setup the mass production and support problem solving

· Manage the components during their complete life cycle (Warranty topics, Engineering change requests, etc…).

Requirements

· Education: EE Master Degree

· Good technical knowledge about the automotive development process

· Good engineering knowledge about electrical / electronic systems for Automotive (CAN networks, Electrical/EMC requirements, Environmental requirements, FMEA, functional safety analysis – ISO 26262 norm, etc.)

· Experience in design and product validation

· Experience of Project management

· Basics of Economics

· Good knowledge of English language: it is required the ability to handle in English language both the release of technical documents and meetings with suppliers and FCA worldwide organization.
