Qualifications
The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) — Summer Vacation Replacement (SVR) is a temporary position responsible for assisting the EHS department in administering standardized plant EHS processes to ensure compliance to federal, state and local regulations and corporate policies and procedures. This position will help achieve world class status and impact corporate savings through the elimination of environmental impacts, occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and improvement of production efficiency as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees. This position will focus on environment, health and safety compliance, and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Safety and Environment Pillars.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or working toward the completion of a Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
- Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Engineering or related field
- Previous manufacturing supervisory experience
- Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
- Previous experience working in a union environment
- Strong background in LEAN manufacturing systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
