Stellantis is seeking a Senior Manager of North America and Global User Experience & Ergonomics. This position is part of our Functional Architecture & Electrical Systems (FAES) team within the Physical & Functional Design and Integration engineering group. The mission of the FAES team is to own the holistic approach on WHAT the mobility solution will bring to our customers, capture customer needs, and define vehicle-level targets for ADAS, Connectivity, and HMI Features.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Leading the ergonomics and user experience team that directly support the vehicle platform teams for User Experience and Ergonomics
- Target setting, benchmarking, virtual and physical validation for user experience & ergonomic vehicle specific customer functional objectives
- Managing and driving closure to all red/open issues prior to key program milestones for all User Experience & Ergonomics items. This includes development, verification and validation for all vehicle programs and infotainment systems (user interface specification and development).
- Driving reconciliation of conflicting functional targets within User Experience and Ergonomics and with cross-functional teams
- Developing consistent cross program HMI & ergonomic implementations, read across, and implement lessons learned on future product. This includes issue root cause and resolution.
- Leading and managing all cluster logic and flow development and validation activities for all programs*Performing risk analysis for late changes to HMI or user interface development
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Ergonomics, Human Factors, Physiology, Biomechanics, Biomedical, Human Kinetics, Psychology, Cognitive systems or other related fields
- 12+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience managing teams (coordinating activities, coaching engineers)
- Prior experience with customer interfaces incorporating increasingly new technology
- Prior experience with HMI & ergonomic specifications and functional objectives
