Job Overview

The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Pilot Operations organization in the areas of event coordination, safety, World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodology, scorecard tracking and general office management. The Coordinator tracks and updates the status of projects, organizes departmental presentation material and meetings for the staff. The person in this role will track progress of Kaizen projects for the department as well as plan and organize departmental activities to improve team morale and any other administrative duties as assigned.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work in partnership with UAW plant safety representative as the pilot plant safety lead
  • Manage the pilot plant access process including for outside group stations within the pilot operation
  • Manage conference rooms scheduling and travel for staff, coordinate vacation tracking and expense reporting for the pilot group as a whole
  • Track quality awards, suggestion, Kaizen and EPM submissions to ensure compliance with the WCM methodology
  • Maintain the employee training matrix, radar charts, flex charts, 4P and 3×3 charts
  • Coordinate the Workforce Planning Integration (WPI) team process
  • Schedule and coordinate pilot town halls and conduct pilot floor tours
  • Update the pilot plant scorecard as required


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in data management
  • Experience in general office management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and presentations skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
  • Must be team oriented and customer focused

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business or related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Access
  • Knowledge of Google Suite a plus
  • Experience in a union environment
