Maserati is one of the world’s most glamorous automotive manufacturers – rich in tradition and sporting successes – with a passion for design and innovation. We are proud of our more than 100 years of heritage, as well as our strong vision for the future. Working with Maserati means challenging the status quo with excitement, confidence and team spirit.

Our company was founded in 1914 in Bologna, Italy, by Alfieri Maserati. Together with his brothers Ettore and Ernesto, he created a car engineering workshop called “Officine Alfieri Maserati”. In 1926, Maserati was transformed from a workshop modifying cars built by other companies into a company designing, constructing and selling its own unique brand.

When the brothers built their first car, the Tipo ‘26, they realized they needed a badge to identify their innovative new brand. The Maserati “trident” logo was created by family artist Mario Maserati with inspiration from the famous statue of Neptune in Bologna. At the end of the 1930s, following its acquisition by Modena-born entrepreneur Adolfo Orsi, Maserati moved from Bologna to its current site in Viale Ciro Menotti in Medona, Italy.

Maserati has been part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) since 2005. Our sport and luxury vehicle brand now exports to more than 70 countries, where it continues to epitomize the Italian sophistication, elegance and style of our founders’ vision.

Maserati is a place where people are empowered to drive change, where bold challenges are taken on and an entrepreneurial spirit is ever present. Our culture never settles on the status quo. Instead, we encourage collaboration, curiosity and unconventional thinking.
