Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) is seeking a Noise, Vibrations & Harshness (NVH) Senior Specialist Engineer.
Responsible for:
- Development of sound package in conventional and hybrid/electrified vehicles
- Integration of vehicle level acoustic treatments
- Participate in packaging meetings, and recommend acoustic design best practices
- Responsible for establishing NVH enablers required to meet vehicle targets
- Measure and test vehicles, process data, and report findings in a clear and concise manner
- Conduct competitive benchmark testing and participate in subjective vehicles evaluations
Or:
- Responsible for development of door/glass windnoise sealing and aero acoustics
- Experienced in door and glass weather-strip sealing, and shape noise
- Experience with aspiration and aero/shape wind noise, wind tunnel testing
- Participate in packaging meetings, and recommend acoustic design best practices
- Responsible for establishing NVH enablers required to meet vehicle targets
- Measure and test vehicles, in tunnel and on-road, process data, and report findings in a clear and concise manner
- Conduct competitive benchmark testing and participate in subjective vehicles evaluations
- Collaborate with other engineering teams in Aero, design office, and Body engineering
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited or ABET equivalent university
- Minimum of 5 years of acoustic package development and/or NVH engineering experience
- Experience in specifying materials for interior and exterior vehicle acoustic treatments (silencers, damping, body cavity fillers, and sealing of pass-thrus)
- Experience using test techniques including sound transmission loss, absorption, and basic transfer path principles
- Understanding of digital signal processing and sound quality metrics
- Knowledgeable in CAD, CATIA and/or Teamcenter Nx
- Working knowledge of NVH analysis Software (i.e. LMS, Head Acoustics, B&K)
- Must be organized, motivated, adept with engineering practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to collaborate effectively with other team members

- Advanced Engineering Degree
- Electrified Vehicle Knowledge / Design Experience
