ROTA DO SABER

The Rota do Saber program supports quality improvements for elementary education in select cities in the states of Pernambuco (Goiana, Igarassu, Paulista and Itambé), Paraiba (Alhandra and Caaporã) and Minas Gerais. The focus of the project is on the qualification of educators and managers, which has been identified as a top priority for the education network. About 2,000 teachers will be trained in the next three years. Meanwhile, more than 30,000 students go through an assessment every six month to measure proficiency in subjects such as Portuguese and mathematics.
